About

Denise Love Hewett is the host of the podcast, Do the Work, which focuses on redefining leadership to be more holistic. This was birthed out of her time as a founder of Scriptd, an entertainment tech company working to dismantle the inefficient and exclusionary practices of Hollywood. She comes from the world of entertainment, fashion, and hospitality, starting her career as the Director of Sales and Marketing at famed nightclub The Box and working for cultural trailblazers like Patricia Field (Sex and the City, Ugly Betty), Marvin Jarrett (NYLON), Tyra Banks, Courtney Love, Simon Hammerstein, and Randy Weiner before creating content at MTV and Endemol.  She is a seasoned television and digital producer who lives at the intersection of activism, entrepreneurship, and entertainment.  She moonlights as a DJ who has worked with Vanity Fair, Gucci, Shisheido, Sony, Glow Recipe, Oprah, Hilary Duff, among many others. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Gallatin at NYU where she studied cultural signifiers, how they affect and reflect society.

Testimonials

  • "Denise was a stand-out keynote speaker at the Investing in Women Conference for the MBA class of ’22 and ’23, at Duke University in April 2022. She's simultaneously relatable and inspirational, whilst also being incredibly vulnerable and genuine about the highs and lows of raising capital as a female entrepreneur. Throughout the preparation process, Denise was easy to work with and we would absolutely do so again." Natalie Behan
