About

Ramona Wright, a TEDx speaker, author, producer, tech investor, and philanthropist, has more than 15 years of strategic communication expertise. She’s a trailblazer who taught public relations and social media marketing to more than 200 students at her alma mater Loyola Marymount University from 2007 - 2011. The College of Communication & Fine Arts implemented her syllabus as a template for other faculty to use.

Ramona has worked on behalf of Brookfield Properties, Sony Music Latin, Reebok, Georgetown University, Film Independent, Qatar Foundation International, and the West African country Sierra Leone. Additionally, she stewarded a multimillion dollar donor portfolio for Oxfam America, a global humanitarian organization, and managed a $2.5 million marketing budget for Cialis®.

In 2011, Ramona was named one of the "Top African American Public Relations Agents" by MadameNiore.com, and she wrote and produced a Telly Award-winning PSA about homelessness featuring Academy Award winner Jamie Foxx and Ryan Seacrest. Los Angeles Business Journal’s Women Making a Difference Awards named her a “Rising Star” nominee. Also, she was the founding publisher of Wiles Magazine.

As a certified integrative wellness life coach and creator of The Chair podcast, Ramona has empowered thousands of people to achieve their goals. She’s a highly sought after public speaker, who has hosted and spoken at events presented by Google, Microsoft, American Heart Association, Hollyhock’s Social Venture Institute, LeaderShape, Cornell, Howard University, UCLA, USC, and the Hispanic College Fund. Her commentaries, speeches, BLOGS, and creative works have been published in Black Enterprise, the Congressional Record, Vital Issues: The Journal of African American Speeches, Journal of Popular Film and Television, and Going Supernova: The Bold Paths of 101 Superachievers.

She’s an advocate for community colleges and trade schools. Her philanthropy includes co-founding the MojaMoja Music Awards, an annual charity brunch and concert established in 2009. It benefits the MojaMoja Innovation Fund supporting an apprenticeship program providing underrepresented youth training and access to STEAM careers in music and tech.

Ramona is an advisor to the De Pree Center at Fuller Seminary and serves on Disruptive Technologist and Everybody Eats boards. She previously served on boards/councils for the Media & Policy Center, Levitt Pavilion, National Congress of Black Women (NCBW), and is a founding board member of Loyola Marymount University's African American Alumni Association & Scholarship Fund.
