Leonard D. Lane DBA is a distinguished international senior executive, board-level advisor, and business professor, specializing in the convergence of supply chain management, sustainability, and technology within a global context. With over 50 years of management and consulting experience.

His expertise centers on strategic supply chain transformation, leveraging sustainability as a competitive advantage, and integrating cutting-edge technologies to enhance global supply chain efficiency and resilience in a turbulent White Water World. Leonard's career spans significant leadership roles in industries ranging from transportation and logistics across multiple organizations to technology and oil and gas. His business acumen encompasses corporate strategy, competitive intelligence, sustainability as a competitive advantage, enterprise transformation at the convergence of technology, supply chain, and sustainability, through the lens of the entire international value creation cycle.

Currently, Leonard serves as an advisory board member to Nutek, an Israeli medical device startup, shaping their strategy and U.S. market entry. He also contributes to Dray Alliance, a venture-backed startup revolutionizing Drayage for the container trucking industry by advising on the global economic drivers that influence supply chain value. Leonard lived and worked in Hong Kong for over 20 years running his own consulting firm serving international clients expanding into Asia Pacific as well as working in Alaska where he served as the States Capital Site Selection Director and Special Assistant to Governor Jay Hammond.

His past roles include advising the Chairman and CEO of Ceradyne Inc. on strategic market entries and R&D restructuring and the Chairman of DHL Asia Pacific on market expansion across north and south Asia. He currently advises the Chairman of the Fung Group, providing strategic insights on future supply chain dynamics in a rapidly evolving global landscape. His tenure at Fung Academy as managing director involved spearheading senior leadership development and digital transformation initiatives across this fourteen billion dollar Hong Kong Based multinational.

Leonard is a prolific author and speaker, addressing topics such as the use of AI in competitive intelligence-driven strategies, AI ethics, sustainability as a competitive advantage, the future of supply chains, digital transformation, war gaming, and building resilient international organizations. He has authored and contributed to several notable publications in the fields of competitive intelligence, global trade, and supply chain management.

Along with his vibrant career in business, Leonard has also taught at five different institutions, most recently, the Paul Merage School of Business at the University of California, Irvine, where he taught for eighteen years, Business Strategy, Competitive Intelligence, Sustainability as Competitive Advantage also serving for three years as Senior Assistant Dean of the MBA programs, He was awarded “Best Professor” and received eleven “Excellence in Teaching” awards, consistently receiving superior ratings from his students. Leonard is also a featured lecturer in the MIT Sloan Executive Education Enterprise Transformation program and teaches in the Merage Foundation, Merage Fellows program for Israeli entrepreneurs in the U.S. and their Lean Launchpad Program in Israel.

Leonard earned a BA in Political Science and an MBA from the University of Southern California, followed by a DBA from Case Western University. He is a climate Interactive EN- ROADS Ambassador, served in U.S. Marine Corps and is a Hawaiian Ironman and two time Canadian Ironman finisher.
