About

Nina Sossamon-Pogue is a Motivational Speaker and Inspirational Thought Leader who reframes resilience and empowers audiences to create successful futures. A researcher and author with a focus on Change and Mental Wellness, Nina helps organizations reach new heights by guiding their people through change and uncertainty.

Known for her success as a former USA Gymnast, Emmy award-winning Television News Anchor, Corporate Leader, and Best-Selling Author, Nina openly shares her struggles and research into why some people thrive while others get stuck during times of adversity. She helps "hard-working humans thrive through tough times" with her innovative, science-backed, data-driven, and stoic philosophy-infused framework to handle challenges of all sizes.

Nina left her role as a Vice President at a publicly traded SaaS company to embark on a mission to empower hardworking individuals to thrive through tough times. Drawing from her own experiences of success and failure at the highest levels of sport, television, and corporate America, she researched high achievers to uncover why some businesses and individuals thrive during adversity while others falter.

Her findings culminated in her first book, THIS is Not The End, published in 2019, and the creation of her science-based, stoic philosophy-infused resilience framework: Resilience Route Navigator. Now dedicating herself full-time to writing, speaking, and sharing her message of resilience, Nina inspires audiences with her dynamic blend of experience, science, and stoicism.

Referred to as a rare "triple-threat" in the speaking world due to her expertise in sports, television, and tech, Nina is a dynamic presence on stage. She connects with audiences on multiple levels, igniting them to achieve new heights of success globally

Testimonials

“Nina grabs you by the brain, pulls you in, and holds you there. She’s a dramatic speaker and professional to the T. I think that her message, her energy, enthusiasm and quite frankly, her empathy helps individuals relate and get the message. Our leadership team enjoyed her so much that we brought her back for our annual meeting.”

“Nina connected with our group from the start and her message really resonated with our operators. I love that she gave them practical and tangible things, like tools in a tools box, that they could take home and put into practice in their own life and business, without reading a book or having to study. She is professional, polished, and prepared. She knocked it out of the park.”

Kathy Wonderly
Chick-fil-a

“I enjoy working with Nina. I appreciate her professionalism and ability to adapt to changes. She’s prepared, adds value, and always ends on time. I told her she could go into business coaching other speakers on how to work with a group.  Our audience feedback on Nina was full of words like amazing, encouraging, inspirational and some listed Nina’s presentation as their favorite of the event.”

Lori Maher McCombs, Owner
Maher Group non-profit/trade association consulting and management

“Nina was great! We really appreciated her ability to adjust on the fly for us. People in our SHRM community are still talking about Nina’s presentation weeks later. What resonated with me personally, was seeing the THIS’s in different sizes. I have thought about that visual several times in the past few weeks.”

Cathleen Hoffman, MBA
SHRM-SCP, SPHR / Arkansas SHRM

“Nina has the ability to make you laugh, cry, and think all at the same time. Her authentic and vulnerable way of connecting with our team drove the message home. Resilience is a muscle we all flex daily, and Nina brought the team an easy way to accept and navigate.”

Nicole Semeraro, CEO & Co-Founder

“As our keynote speaker, Nina gave insightful alternatives in handling difficult situations, whether large or seemingly small. Her high energy and informative delivery kept our group enthralled and wanting more. I honestly believe that our people left our conference motivated to look at life experiences in a little more positive light. Working with Nina in the lead up to and at the actual event was an absolute joy!”
