As we enter into Pride Month, we thought it would be a great time to highlight some of the amazing speakers at Gravity Speakers that are driving change in the LGBTQ+ community. Change requires support throughout the entire social ecosystem and this collection of six change makers is each supporting a unique function. As society and business continue to become more complex, diversity and inclusion are hot topics. Change is a constant and one of the best ways to adapt to change is diversity. These six speakers represent a holistic set of voices supporting the LGBTQ+ community.

Empowering

Professor Tonya Evans currently serves as tenured Full Professor at Penn State Dickinson Law School and is also founder of the Advantage Evans™ Academy. As a global leader, accomplished academic and administrator, and world-renowned speaker with over twenty years of experience in law, innovation, academia, and entrepreneurship, Prof. Evans aims to empower communities by educating and demystifying in the areas of intellectual property, tech and innovation, and the cyptoeconomy.

Creating

Damian Pelliccione is CEO and co-founder of the world’s first LGBTQ+ Global Content Streaming Network Revry. Reaching over 50 million people in over 100 countries around the globe. Self-expression is at the core of the human experience. A major part of that is the ability to enjoy content that you like and can relate to. Sharing experiences is a pillar of the community. Damian provides an outlet for content that resonates with the LGBTQ+ community for both the creators and the consumers. Sharing is what makes communities grow.

Educating

Andrea Barrica is CEO and co-founder of O.school, a sexual wellness brand focusing on being a non-judgmental resource for sexuality and dating for all sexual orientations. Andrea provides important education and support in areas just not being provided to the LGBTQ+ community. As a queer woman of color, she saw an unmet need in the community and created the solution. Education is a pillar of growth and solidarity and sexual health can have a profound impact on an individual and a community.  Andrea is stepping into the gap to support the LGBTQ+ community.

Advocating

Aubrey Blanche is The Mathpath (Math Nerd + Empath), Director of Equitable Design & Impact at Culture Amp, and a startup investor and advisor. Through all her work, she seeks to question, reimagine, and redesign the systems and practices that surround us to ensure that all people can access equitable opportunities and build a better world. Her work is undergirded by her training in social scientific methods and grounded in the fundamental dignity and value of every person.

Challenging

Madison Butler is owner/founder of Blue Haired Unicorn, a consulting agency and her work in focused around designing spaces and creating scalable strategies to achieve psychological safety. Madison is committed to deconstructing the status quo and rebuilding corporate America, one organization at a time. Her mission is to ensure that no one ever feels like spaces were not made for them because we all deserve to live out loud. She is looked upon as an expert in her field and is passionate about using her platform to have the hard conversations.

Funding

Arlan Hamilton is Founder of Backstage Capital, a venture capital firm dedicated to minimizing funding disparities in tech by investing in high-potential founders who are people of color, women, and/or LGBTQ+. Arlan realizes that advocacy, and even challenging requires opportunity. That opportunity is often in the form of funding. Giving strength to people and ideas of the LGBTQ+ community can create an environment not restrained by the status quo. Funding enables pioneers to dream, lead, and change the future.
